Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal, founding member and lead guitarist of the iconic band Warfaze, stated, “If I can’t write ‘Free Palestine’ on social media to visit a country, then I don’t need to go there.” He claimed his US visa was denied because of his outspoken support for Palestine amid Israeli attacks. In a recent Facebook post, he revealed that his application was rejected during Warfaze’s ‘Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour’ in 2024, which he believes was linked to his pro-Palestine stance.

Kamal mentioned that Warfaze has a US tour planned this summer, but his visa uncertainty remains. He emphasized he has no regrets and does not wish to visit a country where he would have to compromise his beliefs. About the rejection, he wrote, “The America I once knew no longer exists. Now, it’s just a place for studying.”

He also remembered the loss of his younger brother, Ahmed Ishaq Abdullah Konok, in a US road accident on August 11, 1997, during his studies, after which he returned permanently to Bangladesh in 1998. Kamal added, “There’s no need to perform in America. I believe in humanity, and that country is not for me.” He affirmed that his music is for Bangladeshi and Bangla-speaking audiences, with no ambition for global reach.
