Salman Khan’s family is considered one of the most influential in Bollywood. His father, Salim Khan, is a veteran Bollywood writer, and his three sons—Salman, Arbaaz, and Sohail Khan—are all popular actors. The Khan family is often referred to as a Bollywood “khandan” because of their strong presence in the industry. Surprisingly, despite being a Muslim family, they do not eat beef; it is never cooked at home.

Recently, Salman Khan has been in the news again for his personal life, starting with his celebration of Ganesh Puja. His Muslim fans were reportedly surprised by his enthusiasm for the festival, and now his refusal to eat beef has drawn further attention. Salman has explained that he does not eat beef because he considers cows as mothers.

According to a report by India Today, Salman appeared on the show Aap Ki Adalat in 2018, where he revealed that he eats almost everything except beef and pork. When asked about avoiding beef, he said, “Cows are our mothers too. I see cows as mothers because my own mother is Hindu, my father is Muslim, and my second mother, Helen, is Christian. I live all over India.”

Salman’s father, Salim Khan, shares the same view. In a recent interview with the Free Press Journal, he said, “No one in our family eats beef. Many Muslim families eat beef—it’s actually cheaper than other meats—but we follow the words of Prophet Muhammad. He said that cow’s milk is an alternative to mother’s milk and very beneficial. Therefore, cows should not be killed.”

Salman was last seen in the film Sikandar, starring opposite Rashmika Mandanna, with Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Suniel Shetty, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in supporting roles. The film was directed by AR Murugadoss.
