In Dupchanchia upazila, Bogura, miscreants killed housewife Umme Salma (47) in broad daylight on November 10, 2024. Her body was found in a fridge with hands and legs tied after her family discovered the house in disarray. Salma’s husband and son were away at the madrasa when the crime occurred. The miscreants attempted to break open a cupboard and scattered belongings around the house. When her son returned home, he reported his mother missing, and the body was discovered after a search. The police confirmed the murder, but the motive is under investigation. The body was handed to the family after the autopsy.
