By promoting the president of the outlawed organisation, Chhatra League, through a government-issued notice, Khaled Muhiuddin was accused of "betraying the blood of the martyrs" by Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and Sarjis Alam, secretary of the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation. 

This declaration followed Khaled Muhiuddin's announcement on Wednesday that he will be doing an interview with the president of the Chhatra League for the Thikana News YouTube channel, which is situated in the United States. 

In a Facebook post, Sarjis Alam stated: "Khaled Muhiuddin, how many leaders of organisations that are prohibited have you previously been on talk shows? With the blood of tens of thousands of injured brothers and sisters as well as more than 2,000 martyrs, this is betrayal."
