The centre, which began operating today (22 November), is collecting district-wise preliminary damage reports by maintaining round-the-clock communication with local administrations. According to initial reports from Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Narsingdi, and Magura districts, the earthquake has so far left 10 people dead and 461 injured. In Dhaka district—particularly within Dhaka city—4 deaths and 59 injuries have been reported. In Narayanganj, 1 death and 18 injuries; in Narsingdi, 5 deaths and 110 injuries have been recorded. Gazipur has reported 252 injuries, while Magura has recorded 22 injuries. The ministry said it is maintaining continuous coordination with district administrations to support response operations. As part of initial relief efforts, the government has already begun providing financial assistance through district administrations. Families of the deceased are receiving Tk 25,000 each, while the injured are receiving Tk 15,000 each. Many injured individuals have returned home after receiving primary treatment at hospitals. Efforts are underway to assess the full extent of the earthquake damage, and detailed information will be provided once the assessment is complete.
