In the recent U.S. elections, five individuals of Bangladeshi descent achieved significant wins in various states:

Nabilah Islam Parkes: Elected as the first Muslim woman senator from Georgia’s State Senate District 7, Nabilah defeated Gregory Howard with 46,231 votes and will serve a two-year term.
Dr. Nurun Nabi: This author and Ekushey Padak award-winning freedom fighter was re-elected unopposed as a councilman for Plainsboro Township, New Jersey, marking his fifth consecutive term.
Sheikh Rahman: Re-elected to Georgia’s State Senate District 5, Sheikh secured his fourth term, outpacing his opponent Lisa Budge by a wide margin and will continue for another two years.
Masudur Rahman: The first Bangladeshi-American senator in Connecticut’s District 4, Masudur achieved a historic vote count of over 33,000, winning against Stephen King and earning a two-year term.
Abul Bashar Khan: Winning his sixth term, Republican Abul Bashar Khan retained his seat in New Hampshire's State House for Rockingham District 30 with 2,939 votes, surpassing Democrat Bob Allbright. He, too, will serve for two years.
