The novel Kamal, authored by Asif Ahmed, explores the life, politics, humanity, and struggles of Bangladesh's late President Ziaur Rahman. Published by Anuj Prakashan with a cover designed by artist Julian, the book will be released this month. A unique trailer release ceremony was held at Chittagong Star Cineplex on November 14, marking the first-ever book trailer release in Bangladesh, also shared on social media.

Asif Ahmed revealed that the idea for the novel emerged in 2021, and after years of dedication, it was completed in 2024. He aims to delve deeper into Ziaur Rahman’s life and uncover lesser-known aspects of his journey as a patriotic leader. Publisher Ashraful Islam Tushar anticipates Kamal will enrich Bengali literature and offer a fresh perspective on Ziaur Rahman's legacy.
