In Dhunot upazila of Bogura, Nafiz Faisal Akash was handed over to the police by his own father after being accused of stabbing the parents of a girl he allegedly harassed. The surrender took place at the Hukam Ali Bus Stand area on Friday night.

Akash is accused of harassing the daughter of Jahangir Alam, a farmer from Ullapara village. When the girl's parents raised objections, Akash reportedly stabbed Jahangir’s wife, Arzina, and also physically assaulted Jahangir, leaving both of them injured. The victims were immediately admitted to Dhunot Upazila Health Complex, and due to the severity of her injuries, Arzina was later shifted to Bogura Medical College Hospital to receive advanced medical care.

According to Officer-in-charge Saiful Alam, Akash was arrested under section 54 and subsequently sent to jail. In a poignant message on Facebook, Akash’s father wrote, “I handed over my only son, the apple of my eye, to the police myself. Allah is our refuge.”
