Bangladesh is set to host an International Investment Conference in the capital, Dhaka, next April, attracting global investors to this prestigious event. Notably, business magnate Elon Musk is expected to participate, with his senior security advisor having already conducted a visit to Dhaka, signaling serious interest. Government sources have expressed optimism about Musk’s attendance.

Diplomatic and administrative insiders revealed that the much-anticipated conference is likely to be held during the first half of April, with a proposed three-day agenda and an exclusive guest list. To avoid overlapping with an investment conference organized by Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus under the interim government, officials have consulted Dr. Yunus to coordinate the timing.

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) will spearhead the event's organization, while government and administrative entities will collaborate to execute what is being touted as the most significant investment conference in the nation’s 53-year history. Preparations are in full swing, with the early days of April marked as a tentative timeline.

The conference aims to attract some of the world’s wealthiest individuals, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. To secure their attendance, informed sources indicate that Bangladesh is leveraging Nobel laureate Dr. Yunus’ influential network as part of its strategy to bring global business leaders to the country.
