A student from the Arabic Department at Dhaka University was injured Friday night after being attacked by rickshaw pullers while trying to manage traffic near the TSC area. Khalid Hasan, enrolled in the 2021-22 session, has urged fellow students to assemble at VC Chattar for support. DU Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed noted that heavy weekend crowds exacerbate traffic issues, leading to disputes. He emphasized the importance of campus safety, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance patrols and address student concerns about congestion and security.
