In just one day, he arranged new beds for 100 first-year students, and preparations are underway to bring 200 more beds for second-year master’s students. A recent video report highlighted the hall’s living conditions and ongoing housing issues. The VP warned, “If anyone tries to bring back the common room-guest room culture, it will have to happen over our dead bodies.” He also pointed out that many students struggle to store their clothes and books due to a lack of cupboards and tables, which disrupts their study environment. To solve this, each student’s room will be equipped with a separate table and cupboard. Addressing the bedbug infestation in the old wooden beds, he said, “These beds are a breeding ground for bedbugs.” The beds are being removed with students’ help, and the hall administration will distribute bedbug killer medicine to every room during the upcoming Puja vacation. Measures are also being taken to improve the food situation. Plans are in place to ensure quality and affordable food in the hall canteen, modeled after the “BUET system.” In the VP’s words, “We aim to change not just individuals but the entire system. Structural change is essential for sustainable development.” Original reporting: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?mibextid=wwXIfr&v=1932181600965175&rdid=8kRj43McOjN1oJDE HTML: https://tezzfeed.com/latest-news/du-muhsin-hall-vp-arranges-100-student-beds-in-just-one-day-after-election-1758095067537 Bangladesh desk: https://tezzfeed.com/bangladeshi-news.md Agent map: https://tezzfeed.com/llms.txt
