Foreign Affairs Adviser Mohammad Touhid Hossain expressed concerns over the Indian media's aggressive stance towards Bangladesh, accusing them of launching an extensive propaganda campaign against the interim government. He emphasized that despite this negative portrayal, the image of Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Dr. Yunus, remains a strong positive aspect. According to Hossain, Dr. Yunus is a widely respected figure, and under his leadership, such wrongdoings are simply not possible, a fact that is recognized and believed by many.

Hossain made these remarks at a seminar organized by the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) in Dhaka on Monday. The seminar focused on the importance and potential of cotton cultivation in Bangladesh, particularly in terms of saving foreign currency. The event was co-hosted by the ERF, Bangladesh Cotton Ginners Association, and Bangladesh Sudan Cotton Ginning Industries. Among the attendees were members from the National Board of Revenue (NBR), representatives from the Bangladesh Cotton Ginners Association, and cotton industry experts.

In his speech, Touhid Hossain went on to elaborate on the ongoing issues faced by expatriates in Oman regarding passport-related complications. He reassured the audience that steps have already been taken to address these difficulties, and he expressed optimism that the situation would soon improve, with the complications expected to be reduced by half. He also stressed the importance of the media, particularly in Bangladesh, to spotlight the positive aspects of the country's image in the face of the ongoing propaganda.
