For the first time, Dhaka University hosted a Hijab Rally on Saturday afternoon to mark World Hijab Day. The rally began in front of the Vice Chancellor’s residence, passed through TSC and Russell Tower, and ended at the Raju Memorial Sculpture, followed by a brief gathering.

The event was organized by "Protest Against Hijabophobia in DU," a group advocating for hijab rights on campus.

During the gathering, students shared their thoughts, stating, "We often talk about the freedom to dress as we wish, yet the hijab is not given that same respect." They added, "The hijab is our right. Judge us by our actions, not by what we wear."
