During a court hearing on January 6, Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md. Zakir Hossain (Galib) criticized Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the former State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications, for not implementing digital courts while serving as ICT Minister. The judge remarked, "You left the judiciary in an analog state. Had you introduced digital courts, you could have appeared from prison instead of coming to court."

Palak responded, explaining that they had attempted to initiate the process during the COVID-19 pandemic, but progress was limited. The court then granted the Anti-Corruption Commission's (ACC) request to show him arrested in a case they filed.+
