The iconic TV show CID is making a comeback with a new season, thrilling fans who got a first look featuring Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava. Set to premiere in November 2024, the return promises to revive fond memories for long-time viewers. The show’s makers dropped a teaser on Instagram, beginning with an intense close-up of Dayanand Shetty’s eyes, blood dripping from his forehead, as the show's iconic theme plays in the background. Shivaji Satam, in his role as ACP Pradyuman, is then seen stepping out of a car holding an umbrella. The scene cuts to Aditya Srivastava’s eyes, paired with the ominous sound of a ticking time bomb.

A gunshot heard in the background suggests that a full promo will release on October 26, captioned with, "Mark your calendars - 26th October ko hoga ek dhamakedar promo drop!" CID originally went off air on October 27, 2018, after an incredible 20-year run on Sony TV, holding the title as one of India’s longest-running TV series with a total of 1,547 episodes since its premiere on January 21, 1998.

The show is renowned for its memorable characters, including ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), Sr. Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), and Sr. Inspector Daya (Dayanand Shetty). Other iconic cast members include Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks, Narendra Gupta as Dr. R.P. Salunkhe, Hrishikesh Pandey as Sr. Inspector Sachin, Ansha Sayed as Inspector Purvi, Vivek Mashru as Sub-Inspector Vivek, and Shraddha Musale as Dr. Tarika.
