Tyler James Robinson, a 22-year-old former Utah student, has been arrested for the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Authorities say Robinson had become increasingly politically active and openly critical of Kirk’s views. Police recovered a Mauser .30-06 rifle and bullets engraved with anti-fascist slogans and messages like “Hey fascist! Catch!” and “If you read this you are gay LMAO.” Digital evidence indicates he planned the attack in advance, hiding the weapon and changing clothes. Robinson faces charges of aggravated murder, gun violations, and obstruction of justice, and is being held without bail while investigators examine his motives and how he obtained the firearm.
