As per the decision made by the Advisory Council, the party will be barred from conducting any kind of activity, whether in physical form or in the digital realm. In line with this directive, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has been instructed to initiate measures to dismantle the Awami League’s presence online, which includes shutting down its official Facebook page and other digital platforms. The commission is currently awaiting the formal issuance of the Advisory Council’s decision in the form of an official circular before proceeding with the action.
