Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has announced a major internet upgrade, tripling speeds across all existing packages without any increase in prices. Under the new plan, the Tk 399 package will now offer 20 Mbps instead of 5 Mbps, while other plans, including Tk 500 and Tk 800, have also received significant speed boosts. The initiative aims to enhance online education, remote work, streaming, gaming, and other digital services nationwide.
BTCL stated that the speed enhancement is part of its ongoing effort to deliver faster, more reliable internet while keeping services affordable. The state-owned telecom operator said the move will help strengthen Bangladesh’s digital ecosystem and improve customer satisfaction. BTCL also reaffirmed its commitment to introducing more user-friendly services in the future to meet the country’s growing digital needs.
