Bomb threats were made against 44 schools in Delhi, including DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School in West Bihar, via email on the night of December 8. The email claimed that multiple bombs were hidden inside the buildings, demanding $30,000 for their deactivation. Delhi Police launched an investigation, and authorities acted quickly by evacuating students and informing the police. A search operation, involving a dog squad, bomb detection teams, and local police, was conducted at the schools, but no suspicious items were found. The email caused widespread panic, but the threat turned out to be a hoax. The investigation is ongoing, with police tracing the email's IP address. This incident follows a similar bomb hoax in October 2023, where a threat to the Central Reserve Force police schools was also proven to be false.
