Mustafa Monwar, one of Bangladesh’s most respected artists and cultural figures, passed away at the age of 90 due to age-related complications while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Best known as the country's beloved "Puppet Man," he made remarkable contributions to puppetry, painting, television, and children's cultural programs. He played a vital role in preserving Bangladeshi folklore and inspired generations through iconic puppet characters and the popular BTV show Notun Kuri. During the 1971 Liberation War, he used puppetry to encourage and inspire people in refugee camps.
