With determination and hard work, even the most challenging tasks can become achievable. A prime example of this is a young man from Manikganj who, through perseverance, successfully built an airplane. Not only did he construct it, but he also managed to fly it on his own.

This remarkable young man is Julhas Molla, hailing from Saitghor Teota village in Teota Union, Shibalaya Upazila, Manikganj. On Tuesday afternoon, he flew his self-made airplane above the sandbanks of the Jamuna River in the Jafarganj area of Shibalaya Upazila. The historic flight drew the attention of the Deputy Commissioner and several senior officials from both the district and upazila administrations, who gathered to witness the feat. Additionally, thousands of curious locals flocked to the area to observe the momentous event.

Julhas’s father, Jalil Molla, originally came from Bagutia in Daulatpur Upazila of the district. However, the family was forced to move to Saitghor Teota in Shibalaya Upazila due to river erosion. Julhas is the fifth among six brothers and two sisters. He completed his SSC from Jiyonpur High School but was unable to continue his education because of financial constraints. Despite these challenges, Julhas works as an electrician on a contract basis in Dhaka. In his spare time, he dedicated himself to the ambitious project of building an airplane.
