In a landmark achievement for Bangladesh, Najmun Nahar has become the first Bangladeshi to visit 184 countries, earning international recognition and placing herself among a rare group of pioneering Muslim women travellers worldwide. Najmun’s latest journey from June to December 2025 took her to Samoa, Timor‑Leste, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Venezuela, and the Bahamas. By carrying the Bangladeshi red and green flag across continents, she has elevated Bangladesh’s global presence and inspired many with her courage and perseverance. The Business Standard

Her world travels began in 2000 through India’s International Adventure Programme, and she has overcome numerous challenges, extreme conditions, and life‑threatening situations as a solo road traveller. Her travels have drawn international media attention and promoted Bangladesh on issues such as peace, environmental conservation, and ending child marriage. Najmun reached her 100th country milestone in 2018, her 150th in 2021, and her 175th in 2024, with the Bahamas marking her 184th in December 2025.
