Rashedul Arefin Ifty, a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) student at International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), secured 1st runner-up at the 12th IEEE Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Conference (HTC) 2024 Innovation Challenge in Kuala Lumpur. His project, AgriSage Tech, was one of the top three out of over 500 entries from across the Asia-Pacific region. The app leverages machine learning to help farmers predict weather, optimize land use, and determine ideal harvest periods. Though still a prototype, it aims to empower farmers by offering valuable insights to mitigate the impacts of weather changes.
