Bangladesh’s passport has been ranked the 7th weakest in the world and 5th weakest in South Asia in the January 2026 edition of the Henley Passport Index.
Released on January 13 by Henley & Partners, the index shows that Bangladeshi citizens can access 37 destinations without a prior visa, placing the country 95th out of 101 globally.
In January 2025, Bangladesh was ranked 100th out of 106, also marking it as the seventh weakest passport.
The strongest passport this year belongs to Singapore, offering access to 192 destinations, followed by Japan and South Korea with 188. The weakest passports are held by Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Pakistan.
