Australia has pledged $20 million in humanitarian aid for Gaza following weeks of massive protests demanding stronger action against Israel’s offensive on Palestinians. The announcement came after over 300,000 people marched across Sydney’s Harbour Bridge, urging the Albanese government to address alleged war crimes in Gaza. Although Canberra has yet to impose sanctions or sever military ties with Israel, this aid marks a shift from symbolic gestures to real support. The funds will go to organisations providing food, medical care, and essential aid. Pro-Palestine activists call it a small but meaningful step forward.
