BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia visited the tomb of party founder and former president Shaheed Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar to offer Quran recitation and prayers. She arrived at the mausoleum late Wednesday night after leaving her Gulshan residence around 10:30 pm.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the visit, citing Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and party standing committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain. During her time there, Khaleda Zia recited from the Holy Quran and prayed for the late president.
