ACC Director General Md Akhtar Hossain (Prevention) confirmed on Monday that the cases were filed at the commission's Dhaka Integrated District Office. Rehana, along with her children Radwan and Azmina, is identified as the primary accused in all three cases, while Hasina and Tulip are named as accomplices. Each case also includes 12 to 13 other accused individuals. Earlier, on Sunday, the ACC filed another case against Hasina, her daughter Saima Wazed, and 14 others over allegations of misusing power to allocate a 60-katha plot in Sector 27 of the Purbachal Residential Area. The plot, which was registered under Saima’s name despite her ineligibility, has sparked controversy. The ACC claims that Hasina misused her authority to unlawfully facilitate the plot allocation. According to the ACC’s investigation, Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima, sister Rehana, and Rehana’s children were allocated 60-katha plots in the diplomatic zone of the Purbachal New Town Project, allegedly through collusion with Rajuk officials. The ACC decided to investigate these allocations following an announcement on December 27. The investigation coincides with Hasina's ouster on August 5 after a student-led uprising, which forced her to flee to India, where she remains in exile. Additionally, the ACC launched an inquiry on December 22 into allegations that Hasina and her son Joy had laundered $300 million (~Tk30,000 crore) abroad. The commission has assigned a team to investigate these claims along with corruption linked to various projects during Hasina's tenure, amounting to Tk80,000 crore. Hasina is facing increasing pressure from activists calling for her extradition and trial for alleged human rights violations, including enforced disappearances and killings under her regime. The International Crimes Tribunal issued two arrest warrants for her last year for crimes against humanity. The interim government recently announced it had revoked Hasina’s passport and formally requested her repatriation from India. While the Indian government has acknowledged the request, no decision has been made yet.
