The Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai ended amid controversy after India’s five-wicket victory over Pakistan, as post-match celebrations were overshadowed by a trophy presentation dispute. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief was set to present the trophy, but Indian players did not approach, while Pakistani players stayed in their dressing room, causing delays.

Tensions were heightened by politics, with both teams having skipped a joint pre-final photo and avoided handshakes earlier in the tournament. Amid the confusion, the ACC chief left the stadium with the trophy, leaving Indian players celebrating on the field empty-handed.
