Students from seven colleges are protesting at Dhaka's Science Lab intersection, demanding the cancellation of their affiliation with Dhaka University. The protest, which began on October 23, caused significant traffic disruptions. The students seek the formation of a university commission to address their issues within 30 days and insist that no session block occurs while establishing an independent university. They argue that the lack of individual identity, poor teaching quality, inadequate research opportunities, and session congestion have severely impacted their academic experience. Previously, a memorandum was submitted to education authorities, but the students felt compelled to protest due to a lack of response.
