Six-year-old Muntaha Akter Jerin has been missing for six days from Birdal village in Kanaighat upazila, Sylhet. Her father, Shamim Ahmad, shared, “Last Sunday morning, after returning home from a local religious gathering with my daughter, she went to play with children in nearby houses, as she often does. When she hadn't returned by 3 PM, we began searching for her.”

The family suspects Muntaha was intentionally abducted and has filed a general diary at Kanaighat Police Station. They have also announced a reward of one lakh taka for any information leading to the capture of the kidnappers. Neighbor Md. Shahed Ahmad mentioned that Muntaha remains untraced, and efforts to locate her are ongoing.
