Chennai Police arrested 500 individuals, including 100 women, for protesting without permission against Bangladesh near Raja Ratnam Stadium on December 4. The protest, organized by Hindu Munnani and supported by groups like BJP, RSS, ABVP, and other Hindu organizations, demanded safety for Hindus in Bangladesh and an end to alleged attacks on minorities. Leaders such as Raju, Tamilisai Soundararajan, and Karu Nagarajan participated. Protesters raised slogans against the Bangladesh government and attempted to march towards Anna Salai before being detained. They were transported to various facilities and charged for protesting without authorization.
