Police are actively searching for a 40-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting his daughter over a period of four years in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district, an official stated on Thursday.

Superintendent of Police Agam Jain informed PTI, "We have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the suspect, who fled after his wife and their 21-year-old daughter filed a complaint at the Lavkush Nagar police station this morning."

The accused has been charged with rape under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and additional charges have been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, as the assaults allegedly began when the victim was under 18. According to the SP, teams have been deployed to arrest the fugitive.
