Three individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the harassment of a female journalist in Banasree. The arrested individuals have been identified as Shoaib Rahman Jishan, son of Mizanur Rahman Khan from Morolganj in Bagerhat; Md. Raisul Islam, aged 21, son of Shakhawat Hossain from Barishal Sadar; and Md. Kawser Hossain, also aged 21, son of Nurul Amin from the same area.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening around 8 PM in front of a juice shop located on Road No. 3 in the E-Block area of Banasree. According to the victim, she was harassed by a group of individuals while standing outside the shop near her residence. When she protested against their actions, both she and her younger brother were physically assaulted. Additionally, when she attempted to intervene and protect her brother, she was subjected to further physical abuse.

Following the distressing incident, the female journalist took to Facebook and shared details of the harassment she had faced. Her post quickly gained traction online, drawing widespread attention. Among the attackers, one individual allegedly claimed to be a journalist himself and even issued threats against her in response. Seeking justice, the victim proceeded to file a case at Rampura Police Station, naming Shoaib Rahman Jishan and Parthib as suspects, along with several unidentified individuals.

Later that night, based on information obtained from Jishan, law enforcement officials were able to locate and apprehend Raisul Islam and Kawser Hossain from two different locations—Bailey Road and Gendaria, respectively.
