Army personnel Md. Azizul Bepari (26) had returned home on a two-month leave and was supposed to report back to Sylhet Cantonment on Wednesday. While traveling with a friend to Rajbari town for some urgent tasks, he tragically lost his life in an accident while attempting to avoid hitting a pedestrian. His motorcycle crashed into a tree, leading to his immediate death.

The accident took place around 5 PM on Tuesday in the Natun Rasta area of Alipur Union, Rajbari Sadar Upazila, along the Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway. Azizul, the son of Mostofa Bepari from Barbakpur village, was accompanied by his friend, Nayon Sheikh (25), who was riding the motorcycle, and pedestrian Hasan Sheikh (80), both of whom sustained severe injuries and were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

Eyewitness Nader Mollah, a local resident, recounted that around 5 PM, Azizul was entering the highway from Natun Rasta near his home. As he tried to avoid pedestrian Hasan Sheikh after overtaking an oncoming vehicle, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a tree. Azizul died instantly, while Nayon Sheikh and Hasan Sheikh were seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.
