Thirteen Western countries have jointly cautioned Bangladeshi citizens against using false documents, unlicensed agents, and unauthorised payments when applying for visas.

The countries include Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The warning was shared through the social media accounts of their embassies and high commissions in Bangladesh.

In a joint statement, they urged applicants to follow official procedures when applying for visas, permits, or other consular services. They also advised against submitting fake documents, relying on unlicensed or unreliable agents, or making payments to unauthorised individuals or agencies.
