In Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, violent mobs attacked hostels housing students from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, injuring at least 28 people. This violence erupted on May 17-18, triggered by a widely shared video showing a fight between Kyrgyz and Egyptian students. Pakistani and Indian authorities have advised their students to remain indoors. Despite assurances from the Kyrgyz government that the situation is under control, Bangladeshi students have sought help, reporting unrest near their apartments. Kyrgyzstan, a popular destination for South Asian medical students due to its affordable education and living costs, is now addressing safety concerns. The Indian and Pakistani missions are monitoring the situation, ensuring their students' safety.
