Magician David Copperfield is accused of sexual misconduct by 16 women, according to a Guardian investigation. Allegations include drugging women and having sexual relations without their consent, with claims some were underage, as young as 15, during encounters from the 1980s to 2014. Copperfield, who faced similar accusations in 2018, denies any wrongdoing. His lawyers assert the allegations are false and implausible, emphasizing his history of supporting women against predators. Some accusations involve groping or forced contact during live performances. Copperfield's team criticizes The Guardian’s report, claiming no evidence has been provided and that investigations by U.S. law enforcement found no case to answer. The magician was also mentioned in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
