Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has expressed that he does not care about the Palestinian issue, stating that he has been negotiating with Washington for 11 months after the Gaza war. The report also mentions that Saudi Arabia would not normalize relations with Israel without a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. In return, Saudi Arabia would seek a mutual defense treaty with Washington, which would require ratification from two-thirds of the US Senate. The report also notes that pursuing a normalisation deal with Israel would come at great personal cost to the Saudi leader, who is concerned about the risk of being killed. Saudi royal Prince Turki al-Faisal has denied any restrictions on his support for Palestine in Saudi Arabia and dismissed speculation that Hamas may have carried out a surprise attack on southern Israel. The chances of normalisation between Saudi Arabia and Israel remain slim.
