Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un showcased their close ties by taking turns driving a Russian-built Aurus limousine during Putin's visit to Pyongyang, his first in 24 years. They signed a mutual defense agreement, pledging support against aggression. This pact strengthens their alliance, potentially impacting global dynamics by allowing North Korea to aid Russia in Ukraine and vice versa on the Korean peninsula. Accusations persist of North Korea supplying Russia with weapons and Russia providing space technology to North Korea. Their last meeting was in Russia in September, and Kim gifted Putin two Pungsan dogs.
