Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have made controversial statements, claiming divine energy and warning against the Congress party allegedly favoring Muslims over Hindus. Modi implied a quasi-divine origin and purpose, suggesting his energy stems from a divine source and claiming a Buddha-like enlightenment. Adityanath, in a campaign speech, accused the Congress of intending to redistribute Hindu wealth to Muslims from neighboring countries, stoking fear of losing possessions and livelihoods. Both leaders portrayed themselves as defenders of Hindu interests, with Modi emphasizing a survey on Muslim happiness in Ram Rajya and Adityanath warning of potential ruin under the opposition's rule. The rhetoric employs religious undertones and fearmongering to galvanize Hindu support.
