Brazil ratified a free trade deal with the Palestinian Authority amid an economic crisis in the Occupied Territories due to Israeli violence and restrictions. Israel has blocked Gaza exports since September. The deal was adopted at Mercosur meetings in Paraguay, where President Lula spoke. It's unclear if other Mercosur nations, including Argentina, will follow. Argentinian President Javier Milei, an Israeli ally, missed the talks to support ex-Brazilian President Bolsonaro at a rally.
