Jinnat secured Bangladesh's first gold medal in the 50 kg weight category, representing the nation in the Hangzhou Asian Games. Despite a less-than-expected performance, Bangladesh hopes for a wildcard entry for Selim, who came close to medaling. Pending the International Olympic Committee's decision, Bangladesh plans to compete in another qualifying event before the Paris Olympics. Salim, Talha, and jinnat will participate in a qualifying tournament in Thailand, with the potential for direct Olympic qualification based on performance.
