Rangpur's renowned Haribhanga mangoes are now being exported to Germany, with plans for further international expansion. In the first shipment, one ton was sent via Green Global Agro Limited, based in Dhaka. Company owner Kawsar Ahmed noted the high demand in Germany and past exports to the Middle East. Since hitting local markets on June 20, demand for Haribhanga mangoes has surged, with 300 to 400 trucks dispatched daily across the country, raising prices. Major markets like Padaganj Hat see brisk business, and traders are negotiating exports to UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Brunei. Mango exports are expected to reach Tk100 crore by early July.
