The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police took action against traffic rule violators yesterday, filing 734 cases and imposing fines amounting to approximately Tk 30.97 lakh.

Md Jahangir Kabir, Assistant Commissioner (Media) of the DMP, reported that Tk 3.34 lakh was collected in cash during the operation.

As part of the enforcement efforts, 64 vehicles were impounded, and 35 others were towed. The DMP official stressed that these drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
