On Saturday night, Utshob Ahmed defeated Indian boxer Mazhar Hussain to win the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia Silver Super Flyweight title, marking a momentous occasion in Bangladesh boxing. The 19-year-old rising star from Rajshahi impressed the crowd with his flying motions and lightning-fast jabs and strikes. The match between Utshob and Mazhar was the highlight of the Beximco Xcel Boxing Championship 3.0, which took place at the Hotel InterContinental Dhaka.

Utshob's triumph demonstrated his talent and determination, since he has been undefeated in professional boxing since his debut two years ago. In the sixth round, he delivered a magnificent cross blow to his opponent, prompting plaudits from the packed spectators. The teenage boxer's confidence was palpable even before the final verdict, as he celebrated his upcoming victory. The event also included 11 more bouts, with boxers from France, Iran, India, Tanzania, and China competing in this year's championship series.
