On Eid, the house was brightly lit with colorful lights, and several cows and goats were tied under it. Following the sacrifices, revenue officer Matiur Rahman and his son, Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat, went missing. The once lively home, where Ifat drove luxury cars, now stood silent, its number plate removed. On Friday, the family was absent from their luxurious fifth-floor residence in Imperial Sultana Bhavan, Dhanmondi. The security guard reported that they had left on Tuesday and hadn't returned. Despite journalists waiting for two days, they were denied entry. At noon, urine was thrown at the reporters from the house.
