Students from seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University launched the Bangla Blockade, demanding the removal of quotas in government jobs and competitive exams. Gathering at Dhaka College, over 200 students marched to Science Laboratory, chanting against quotas. They halted Mirpur Road traffic, advocating for merit-based recruitment. Nazmul Hossain, a protester, emphasized fair placement based on merit. The movement vows to persist until a favorable resolution on the quota issue, amid ongoing legal deliberations.
