To ease the hassle of carrying large sums of cash for Eid-ul-Azha, about 10 cattle markets in Dhaka and Chattogram now offer cashless transactions. Mastercard's Syed Mohammad Kamal highlighted this initiative to boost digital payments. Each market features a digital payment booth with POS machines, ATMs, MFS services, and agent banking. Organized by Bangladesh Bank and Dhaka North City Corporation, the "Smart Haat" event launched this initiative.
