Recently, educational institutions faced closures due to extreme weather conditions, including severe heat waves and winter conditions. A Facebook post by the Ministry of Education hinted at extending school days to Fridays to make up for lost time. However, this statement was later retracted, citing a technical error. The Ministry clarified that no decision had been made regarding Friday classes but affirmed the continuation of Saturday classes at the secondary level. The closures, initiated in late March, were extended due to rising temperatures. After a brief reopening, institutions closed again in some districts due to heat waves. Primary schools remained closed until early May.
