The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) unveiled their 15-man squad for the ICC T20 World Cup, appointing Taskin Ahmed as vice-captain while omitting all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin due to his lackluster performance in the recent series against Zimbabwe. Taskin, who recovered from injury, will serve as deputy to captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. The team will depart for the USA on Wednesday, where they will face the USA in a three-match T20 series before kicking off their T20 World Cup campaign. The squad includes notable players such as Liton Kumar Das, Soumya Sarkar, and Shakib Al Hasan. Standby players Hasan Mahmud and Afif Hossain are also named. Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam are among the key bowlers in the lineup. The team is geared up for the upcoming tournament, aiming to make a mark on the international stage.
